With BGIS academics, we seek to provide a learning environment that stimulates, challenges and satisfies our learners. Students are expected to be responsible and respectful, neat and clean, and, most importantly, active participants in the learning process. We believe that learning should be an effective and happy experience, something that will encourage students to become lifetime learners.
Quality teaching, small classes and strong student-teacher relationships form the foundation of our highly effective scholastic programme. Guest speakers from all over the world are a regular feature, and computers, television and videos are carefully used to enhance learning.
English, Sanskrit, Hindi, math, the sciences, social studies and computing are amongst the subjects offered. The students work individually, do group assignments and handle theme projects. Written tests are taken twice yearly, and there is a continual assessment of homework and class work. For outside assessment, both the CISCE and Cambridge Checkpoint serve as curriculum guides and examination boards.
Quality teachers make a school. At BGIS we have our own teacher-training programme, and we support our staff with regular meetings and with seminars on teaching techniques and classroom-management skills. Lifelong-learning teachers create lifelong-learning students.

Former Director for BGIS, Ananda Vrindavaneswari devi dasi said, "It is nice to see these young men do well in school alongside their spiritual studies and practices. Sometimes it seems it should be one or the other, spiritual or academic, but at the BGIS High School we see that one enhances the other. Students maintain their spiritual practices as they go about studying their academics.”
BGIS was also listed as a recommended best school in the Amar Ujala daily Hindi newspaper. It was the only school listed in the Mathura and Agra region, and the 2nd one listed in Uttar Pradesh.
