|| Sports ||

Sport is one the important subjects at BGIS. Our students are very famous as sports buddies. BGIS encourages its students to participate in the sports activities for their physical and mental development. Every year our students participate & bag various awards in national and district level sports competitions.

|| Drama ||

Students study classic and contemporary drama. They enact their talents on special festivals such as Krishna Janmastami, Radhastami, Lord Balaram’s Appearance Day, Gaura Purnima and Ramnaumi.

|| Music ||

Music is also one of the students’ favorite subjects. They have excelled in playing mrdranga (clay drum), harmonium and also learn classic and contemporary style bhajans.

|| Literary events and Quiz ||

Part of celebrating every major festival is partaking in both a drama and literary quiz. Questions are drawn from ancient scriptures i.e. Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagvatam and the Ramayan. The students enjoy competing against each other in anticipation of the spectacular prize giving ceremony.

|| Yoga retreats ||

Yoga retreats are arranged for the students to Varsana, Govardhan and Gomukh on an annual basis. Out in the wilderness, students are exposed to living a natural and austere life and its attendant challenges. Facing these challenges increases their dependence on Lord Krishna’s mercy. It is also an opportunity for the boys to develop a deeper relationship of brotherhood with fellow friends that continues long after graduating from the Gurukul.
