We request your cooperation in the following matters:

Pick-up and Drop-off:

Please return your sons to school on time after the break. The beginning of the new school year is Sunday, April 5th. Check in time is between 10am and 4pm. The front gate will be locked at 4pm sharp and late students will be required to check in the following afternoon at 3pm.
All students, including High School Students, must be checked into the school with a parent or guardian. We will not accept any student who arrives at the school unaccompanied. High School students must return to school with their hair cut short.
Report cards/ parent conferences will be held on April 5th.
Students entering Classes 9 and 11 *must* meet with the Academic Director to finalize subject choices for the Board Exams.

Fees:

All stated fees must be paid on or before April 5th. Students whose fees are not paid will not be accepted into the school until the fees are paid. Imprest accounts also need to be balanced at this time.

Student Money:

Gurukula students (Grades 1-8) are not allowed any personal money. A small amount of money can be kept with the ashram teacher, to be used on Sunday. Money can also be contributed to your own son’s ashram treasury, which will be used for special treats for all the students in his ashram.
High School students may keep some personal money, no more than Rs3000, at their own risk. If the money is used improperly, they will loose this privilege.
Students can also open a Swasti café account

Following School Rules:

All students are required to follow the established school rules. We follow a system based on natural consequences for not following. For example – lateness is punished by spending time in detention, mobile phone or mp3 players will be confiscated and not returned, bad language by cleaning duties, not speaking English will have marks reduced on their English grade. If a student receives a lot of detentions, marks will also be deducted from their final score sheet.
For serious offences students may be suspended or expelled.
A separate detailed list of our discipline standards is available upon request.

Calling and Visiting:

Phone calls only on Saturday evening after 5pm and Sunday.
Sundays are visiting days. No visits allowed during the week.
All communications with regard leave outside the school’s scheduled breaks must be between the school and the parents. We will not consider any requests for leave received through or from your son, either written or spoken. The school will also communicate directly with you. We will not involve the students.
We now have a fax machine: 0565 – 2540 697 (this is also one of our phone lines. Simply ask for the fax to be turned on if you need to send a fax).

To speak with the Academic or Ashram Manager, please make a phone appointment with Abhay Caran das, the school secretary. He will confirm a time that you may call them. Please phone during the day, not after 5pm.
Any package sent to your son will be checked by the school before delivery. Please do not sent eatables or any of the restricted items listed below. The school will remove any unacceptable items. Please include a packing list with the package.

Summer Supplies (Students must bring the following):

6 pairs of sports socks
6 undies(new)
6 banyans(new)
2 sets sleeping clothes (light cotton shorts/ tee-shirt)
casual clothes – 2 sets (short, pants, shirts)
Slip on shoes (Easy on and off)
Sports shoes(non leather)
A school bag in good condition
Basic stationery ( pencil case, pens, sketch pens etc )
6 passport size photos
Swimming costume(2)
Alarm Clock for High School
Classes 9 -12 only
Extra kurtas (any color) and yogi pants/ pajamas/ dhotis (2 sets) (optional)
Alarm clock
Personal toiletries - deodorant, oil, toothpaste etc, vitamins, shaving cream etc

Restricted Items:

Mobile phones, ipods, cameras, cd/ mp3, mp4, Gameboys, DVD players etc. and CDs/ VCDs/ DVDs are strictly prohibited. Please do not send any of the above with your son. They will be confiscated and not returned.

If a student is wearing glasses please ensure that he has an extra set for emergency purposes
